Exploring Science

It’s been a wild winter so far, but the children have certainly made the most of every opportunity to play outside in the fresh air and snow. One the favorite activities for the children is working in the science lab down the hall where they get to explore science using tools and materials that are just their size. The focus last week was on fabric, and this week the topic was water. Our little scientists get to learn about science in a hands-on way, while also working on skills such as fine-motor control, problem solving, decision-making and cause-and-effect. Without even realizing it our children are scientists making predictions and observations and developing analysis skills. And of course having fun and laughing the entire time 🙂
